Using the results calendar as a trader

The table above lists confirmed quarterly results dates for NSE and BSE companies — this week first, then upcoming weeks — with an F&O flag on stocks where options trade. Companies announce dates through exchange filings, so the calendar updates as boards confirm meetings; a date can shift if the board meeting moves.

The F&O angle: IV around results

For F&O-flagged names, the result date is also a volatility event. Option IV in the stock typically climbs into the announcement and collapses immediately after — the "IV crush." Practical consequences: buying options just before results means paying peak IV (the move must beat what's already priced in), while option sellers harvest the crush but carry the gap risk. Check the stock's option chain a few days before its date: the ATM straddle price tells you exactly how large a move the market has priced for the result.

Reading result season at the index level

Heavyweight result dates cluster — banks and IT majors early in the season — and those weeks drive index behaviour too. A glance at which Nifty heavyweights report this week explains many otherwise puzzling index chain setups: elevated weekly IV, OI building at wider strikes, and expiry ranges stretching around a big bank's result day. The FII/DII flows around marquee results are the other tell worth watching.

Timing details worth knowing

Results release through exchange filings during or after market hours; intraday announcements move the stock immediately, post-market ones set up the next day's gap. The board-meeting date is the announcement date — companies rarely pre-commit an exact time. For stocks you track, set a price alert so the reaction, not the filing, notifies you.

FAQs

Where do these dates come from?

From official board-meeting intimations filed with NSE and BSE. Dates appear here once the company confirms them and update if the meeting is rescheduled.

What time of day are results announced?

Whenever the board concludes — some during market hours, many after close. There's no fixed time; the filing hits the exchanges first.

What does the F&O flag mean?

The stock has tradeable futures and options, so the result is also an options event — expect IV buildup before the date and IV crush after.

Why did a company's date change?

Boards reschedule meetings; the results date follows the board meeting. The calendar reflects the latest exchange filing.

Can I see only Nifty-50 or only F&O results?

Yes — use the filters above the table to narrow the calendar to index constituents or F&O stocks.
